history
The label was founded in 1993 by XL Recordings maker Nick Halkes as the dance division of the EMI Music label . Successful artists were initially Reel 2 Real , DJ Quicksilver and BBE. Spiller , Paul van Dyk and Axwell followed in the noughties .
From 2010 acts like David Guetta , Deadmau5 and Swedish House Mafia joined the program. In 2012 the label switched to the Universal Music Group . New signings were now Armin van Buuren , Avicii and Oliver Heldens .
