Anabioz is a Russian folk metal band from Oktyabrsky .
history
The band was founded in 2006 and has been on the road live from the start, so that concerts etc. a. came about with Holy Moses , Tiamat and Immolation .
The debut album Through Darkness was released in 2008 by the Russian music label CD-Maximum , followed two years later by ... To Light by Black Tower Productions from Switzerland. For There the Sun Falls (2014), Sound Age Productions returned to a record company from Russia.
style
In a review of the third album, Arkona's Russian comrades-in- arms were used as a reference, but without any “gloom or even black metal borrowings”. In addition, the “operatic female vocals as a supplement to the growls” add a “certain Nightwish feeling”. The guttural singing usually comes into play when singer Olga plays the violin.
