The Anarchist GummiZelle (AGZ) is an artist group with a focus on performance and was founded in 1980. The AGZ was known as a performance group in Germany in the mid-1980s, alongside groups like “Schmelzdahin” or “ Die Tödliche Doris ”.

After the AGZ had hardly any public appearances in the 1990s, it has been active again since 2002.

The members of the AGZ are: Stefan Ettlinger , Heinz Hausmann , Otto Müller and Uli Sappok . Bertram Jesdinsky , who co-founded the AGZ, died in 1992. Thorsten Ebeling, also co-founder, has not been a member of the AGZ since May 2010.

The AGZ began making experimental films in the late 1970s . In 1981 she received first prize in the “Filmzwerge” competition at the “Festival of Independent Films” in Münster for her jointly produced Super 8 film “Im Rhenushaus”.

Independent performances quickly emerged from accompanying actions to the screenings of their own Super 8 films. The high points of the activities of the AGZ in the 1980s were the collaboration with Heiner Goebbels (at the Jazz Festival Moers) and the performance "4 playing cards and 3 pieces of furniture".

In 2002 the group got together again, and in 2003 they received a distribution grant from the Filmstiftung NRW for the project ”Anarchiv (GZ)”. The AGZ digitized its entire experimental film work from the 1980s (the films produced jointly and the films of the individual members of the AGZ) and made it accessible to young filmmakers.

The performance "Emotionsdiktat or: Discovery of togetherness", shown in 2005 at the 18th Stuttgart Film Winter , was awarded the "Milla and Partner Prize" (the prize went to the AGZ-founded junior group "5, -DM", with which she Performance together).
