Heinz Hausmann (born July 6, 1959 in Ederen , North Rhine-Westphalia ) is a German visual artist .

Life

Heinz Hausmann grew up in the Black Forest and graduated from high school in Jülich in 1979 and began studying at the Düsseldorf Art Academy in 1980. His teachers were Bernd Minnich and Alfonso Hüppi . During his studies he participated a. a. with Stefan Ettlinger at the artist group Anarchist GummiZelle . Hausmann graduated in 1988 as a master student of Alfonso Hüppi. In 1989 he participated in the Ring Club Kuratoriumsgemeinschaft with Hans Irrek and Johann Röing. He now works as a freelance artist in Düsseldorf. In 1993 he took over the management of the artists' association WP8 , named after his address at Worringer Platz 8 in Düsseldorf. In 2000 he resigned from the management of the artists' association. He lives in Düsseldorf .

Projects

In addition to the main works of brush drawings , collages and paintings, there are also occasional collaborations with artist groups, from which conceptual projects also emerged:

  • Film and Stage projects with the anarchist padded cell (1982-2004)
  • the installation of various “WM / EM bars” for soccer tournaments in the artists' association WP8 (with Claus Föttinger , Hendrik Krawen , Stefan Ettlinger , Romano Granderath and others, 1990–2010)
  • the development and construction of the model town Makroville with the Ring Club (with around 100 participating artists, architects and others, 1996)
  • the establishment of a betting community HausWetten (online since 1981 and since 2002)
  • wnw, wv - art book made from assembled and narrated text in pocket book format Cf. Hypertext, with Thorsten Ebeling, 2013, ISBN 978-3-00-040027-8

These joint projects also lead to an examination of artifacts from systems such as games (e.g. Monopoly) and their boards, cards, figures (see Springer on E6 ) as well as bank notes. The creation of a (personal) encyclopedia is under development.
