Jörg Paul Janka

Jörg Paul Janka (born September 4, 1965 in Duisburg ) is a German visual artist .

Life

Janka studied at the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1988 to 1994 in the class of Bernd and Hilla Becher . From 1991 he was enrolled as a guest student at the Ruhr University Bochum with Vilém Flusser on the subject of communication and photography. After completing his art studies in 1995, he and Uschi Huber, Hans-Peter Feldmann and Stefan Schneider published the photo magazine Ohio . Since 1999 Janka has been the sole editor of this magazine with Uschi Huber. Since then he has been internationally active as a media artist with his own work. In recent years he has also been artistically active in cooperation with Joerg Zboralski . He lives and works in Düsseldorf .
