Anastasia Young (born November 23, 1988 in Queens , New York City ) is a former American luge athlete .

Anastasia Young lives in Merrick . In 2005 she won the overall ranking of the Junior World Cup, in 2007 she was second in the overall Junior Challenge Cup ranking and US junior runner-up. In 2008 she came third in the overall junior World Cup, at the US Junior Championships she was third, as well as at the US Championships. A first international success in the women's area was the national qualification for the 2009 Luge World Championships in Lake Placid, Germany . There she immediately reached a 14th place, but also benefited from the home advantage of American women. After that, she competed in two World Cup races in Calgary and Lake Placid in the 2008/2009 season , finished 16th and 21st and thus achieved 36th place in the overall World Cup, tied with Courtney Zablocki . The next winter Young did not contest World Cup races and in August 2010 she announced her retirement.
