Anastasija Olegovna Udaltsova

Anastassija Olegowna Udalzowa ( Russian Анастасия Олеговна Удальцова ; born September 2, 1978 in Cherkassy , Ukrainian SSR ) is a Russian socialist and opposition politician. She was the press spokeswoman for the Left Front and is married to its coordinator, Sergei Stanislawowitsch Udalzow . The Left Front is part of the opposition alliance The Other Russia .

Life

Udaltsova joined the Communist Party of Ukraine at the age of 18 . Two years later, she went to Moscow to study law and became a member of the National Bolshevik Party of Russia, which has been banned since 2005 . In 2000, she met her future husband Sergei Udalzow, left the "National Bolsheviks" and became press spokeswoman for the Red Youth avant-garde , later their successor organization, the Left Front . The couple live in Moscow and have two children.

In Russia she caused a stir with her public relations work, which is unusual for a left-wing politician.
