Anatoly Grigoryevich Novikov
Anatoli Grigorjewitsch Novikov ( Russian Анатолий Григорьевич Новиков * October 18 . Jul / thirtieth October 1896 greg. In Skopin ; † 23. September 1984 in Moscow ) was a Russian composer of popular songs .
Life
He was born in Skopin in 1896 as the son of a blacksmith . From 1921 he studied composition at the Moscow Conservatory . His teacher was Reinhold Glière . In 1946 his songs Wasja-Wassiljok, Where the Eagle Spreads Its Wings, Cold Wind, Partisan Saying and Five Balls were awarded prizes, as was the World Youth Song in 1948 , which was premiered on the occasion of the International Festival of Democratic World Youth in Prague in 1947. The melody of the World Youth Song can be found in the Mainz carnival hymn Humba Täterä . Nowikow was honored as an "Honored Artist of the RSFSR" and was still responsible in 1958 in the Composers' Union of the USSR as a member of the "Mass Song" commission. In 1960 he received the title of People's Artist of the RSFSR and in 1970 the title of People's Artist of the USSR .
