Anatoli Nikolajewitsch Perminow ( Russian Анатолий Николаевич Перминов , scientific transliteration Anatolij Nikolaevič Perminov ; born June 16, 1945 in Kirov Oblast , Russian SFSR , USSR ) was the head of the Russian space agency Roskosmos from March 12, 2004 to April 29, 2011 .

Life

Perminov was chief of staff of the strategic missile forces and from 2001 commander of the space forces of Russia . From March 12, 2004 to April 29, 2011, he was the head of the Russian space agency Roscosmos . He was followed in 2011 by Vladimir Alexandrovich Popovkin . Perminov is married and has one son.

Perminov is a candidate in engineering sciences and professor of military sciences.
