Anatoly Platonowitsch Prudnikow
Anatoly Platonowitsch Prudnikow ( Russian Анатолий Платонович Прудников ; born January 14, 1927 in Ulyanovsk ( Russia ); † January 10, 1999 ) was a Russian mathematician .
The Prudnikow family moved to Samara in 1930 , where he graduated from high school in 1944. He then studied at the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics at the Pedagogical Institute in Samara. In 1968 he received his doctorate with the thesis On a class of integral transforms of Volterra type and some generalizations of operational calculus .
His first area of work was operator calculation . In his second field of work he dealt with integral transformations and special functions . Here he worked with VA Ditkin and his student Yuri A. Brychkov .
The third area of his mathematical research focused on computer science .
