Anatoli Stepanowitsch Lutikow ( Russian Анатолий Степанович Лутиков ; born February 5, 1933 in Leningrad , † October 15, 1989 in Tiraspol , Moldova ) was a Soviet chess player and coach.
Life
Anatoly Lutikow won the 1956 student Olympics in Uppsala with the Soviet team and the European team championship in Hamburg in 1965 . In 1967 he was awarded the title of International Master by FIDE , and in 1974 he became a Grand Master .
Lutikov's last Elo rating was 2355, his highest rating of 2545 he reached in July 1972 and May 1974. Before the introduction of the Elo numbers, it reached its highest historical rating of 2694 in May 1967 .
