Anatoly Stepanowitsch Wedjakow

Anatoli Stepanowitsch Wedjakow ( Russian Анатолий Степанович Ведяков , English transcription Anatoliy Vedyakov; * December 21, 1930 in Moscow ; † 2009 ) was a Russian walker who started for the Soviet Union .

In 1957 he won silver in the 50 km walk at the World Festival of Youth and Students .

At the 1960 Olympic Games, he was ninth in the 50 km walk . He was disqualified in the 20 km walk .

In 1962 he was fourth in the 20 km walk at the European Athletics Championships . In the 50-km walk , he did not reach the goal.

At the Olympic Games in Tokyo in 1964, he was seventh in the 50 km walk and fifth in the 20 km walk at the 1966 European Championship .

He was twice the Soviet champion in walking 20 km (1962, 1966) and walking 50 km (1959, 1963).
