The men's 50 km walk at the 1962 European Athletics Championships was held on September 14, 1962 in the streets of Belgrade .

European champion was the Italian Olympic third from 1960 Abdon Pamich . The Soviet walker Grigory Panichkin came in second place. Bronze went to the British Olympic champion from 1960 Don Thompson .
