The men's 50 km walk at the 1958 European Athletics Championships was held on the streets of Stockholm on August 22, 1958 .
European champion was the Soviet Olympic runner-up in 1956 Yevgeny Maskinskow . He won ahead of the Italian Abdon Pamich . Bronze went to the GDR walker Max Weber .

European champion Yevgeny Maskinskow improved the EM record by 4: 55.8 minutes to 4: 17: 15.4 hours.

As usual on this route, the competition was held without prior qualification. All fourteen participants started together for the final.
