The men's 50 km walk at the 1994 European Athletics Championships was held on the streets of Helsinki on August 13, 1994 .

The European champion was the Russian World Cup third in 1993 Valeri Spizyn . Thierry Toutain, third in the European Championship in 1990 , won silver . The Italian Giovanni Perricelli came in third.

There was no preliminary round, all 34 walkers went to the final together.

The reigning world champion Jesús Ángel García finished fourth - he was active and successful for a long time
Fifth place for Robert Korzeniowski - later one of the most successful walkers in athletics history
