The men's 50 km walk at the 1994 European Athletics Championships was held on the streets of Helsinki on August 13, 1994 .
The European champion was the Russian World Cup third in 1993 Valeri Spizyn . Thierry Toutain, third in the European Championship in 1990 , won silver . The Italian Giovanni Perricelli came in third.
