The men's triple jump at the European Athletics Championships 1994 was held on August 11th and 13th, 1994 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .

European champion was the Russian Denis Kapustin . He won ahead of Frenchman Serge Hélan . Bronze went to the Latvian Māris Bružiks .

qualification

August 11, 1994

Twenty participants competed in two groups for the qualifying round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 16.80 m. No triple jumper reached this mark. The final field now consisted of the twelve best placed athletes from both groups (highlighted in light green). Only 16.24 m were necessary to take part in the finals.
