The men's long jump at the European Athletics Championships in 1994 was held on August 9 and 10, 1994 in the Olympic Stadium in the Finnish capital Helsinki .

Bulgarian Iwajlo Mladenow became European champion . He won ahead of the Czech Milan Gombala . Bronze went to the Greek Konstandinos Koukodimos .

33 participants competed in two groups for the qualifying round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 8.00 m. Four athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the eight athletes placed next to twelve jumpers (highlighted in light green). In the end, 7.83 m had to be achieved to take part in the finals.
