Dimitrios Chatzopoulos

Dimitrios Chatzopoulos ( Greek Δημήτρης Χατζόπουλος ; * April 17, 1967 ) is a former Greek long jumper .

In 1987 he was eighth at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Liévin and seventh at the World Indoor Athletics Championships in Indianapolis . After he had not succeeded in a valid attempt at the World Athletics Championships in Rome , shortly afterwards he won gold at the Mediterranean Games in Latakia.

At the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in 1994 , he was eliminated from the qualification.

In 1997 he won bronze at the Mediterranean Games in Bari, but again failed to make a valid attempt at the World Athletics Championships in Athens .

His marriage to the long jumper Niki Xanthou , who he trained , was divorced.
