Niki Xanthou ( Greek Νίκη Ξάνθου , pronunciation : [ ˈnici ˈksanθu ], born October 11, 1973 in Rhodes ) is a former Greek long jumper .

In her career, Xanthou set a total of nine national long jump records. In 1996 she made the jump over the 7-meter mark for the first time.

At the World Athletics Championships in Athens in 1997 , Xanthou won the silver medal when she only had to admit defeat to the Russian Lyudmila Galkina (7.05 m) with 6.94 m . In the same year she won the gold medal at the Mediterranean Games in Bari with 6.72 m . Xanthou was also victorious in her specialty at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in 2002 in Vienna.

Xanthou took part in three Summer Olympic Games: 1996 in Athens she was fourth with 6.97 m, 2000 in Sydney and 2004 in Athens she was eliminated in the qualification. The games in Athens were also her last appearance at major international events.

Niki Xanthou is 1.74 m tall and weighed 62 kg at competition times. The marriage with her coach Dimitrios Chatzopoulos ended in divorce.
