Tatiana Sergejewna Shchelkanova ( Russian Татьяна Сергеевна Щелканова , English transcription Tatyana Shchelkanova ; born April 18, 1937 in Jeisk ; † November 24, 2011 ) was a Soviet long jumper who was successful in the first half of the 1960s. She jumped four world records and won a European championship. She lived and trained in Leningrad .

Although her athletic talent was already evident during her school days, she initially loved the theater. It was not until she was 18 that she began to train seriously, initially under Margarita Dmitrijewna Balaschowa, a master of the sport in hurdles, and later under the long jumper Anatoly Kuznetsov .

Between 1961 and 1966 she won a total of 10 Soviet championships in long jump, pentathlon and 4 x 100 meters .
