Bogdan Tudor

Bogdan Tudor (born February 1, 1970 in Bucharest ) is a former Romanian long jumper .

Life

Tudor reached the final battle at the 1990 European Championships in Split and jumped to eighth place. For the next ten years he was among the best in the world. In 1991 he was fifth at the World Indoor Championships and the World Championships . Tudor also jumped to fifth place at the European Indoor Championships in 1992 , but only reached twelfth place at the Olympic Games in Barcelona.

At the indoor world championships in 1993 Tudor was again fifth. The following year, however, he made the leap into the medal ranks. At the European Indoor Championships in Paris in 1994 he won the bronze medal behind Dietmar Haaf and Konstandinos Koukodimos and, due to the better second attempt, ahead of Iwajlo Mladenow . In 1995 Tudor came fifth at the World Indoor Championships and the World Championships for the repeated time. In between, on July 9, 1995 in Bad Cannstatt, he had increased his personal best to 8.37 meters.

In 1996 Tudor jumped to sixth place at the European Indoor Championships . At the Olympic Games in Atlanta, however, he was eliminated in qualifying. The following year he was tenth at the World Indoor Championships and eleventh at the 1997 World Championships . In 1999 he jumped to eighth place at the World Indoor Championships and in 2000 he reached the final of the European Indoor Championships for the last time in a major international competition and was seventh.
