The men's marathon at the 1994 European Athletics Championships took place on August 14, 1994 in Helsinki , Finland .

There was a triple success for Spain. Martín Fiz won the race in 2:10:31 h. Vice European champion Diego García before Alberto Juzdado .

For the first time at the European Championships, there was a team classification, the so-called Marathon Cup. For this, the times of the three best runners per nation were added up. However, the evaluation was not part of the official medal table. The team from Spain won ahead of Portugal and France.
