Abdon Pamich
Abdon Pamich (born October 3, 1933 in Fiume, Italy , today Rijeka , Croatia) is a former Italian athlete and Olympic champion in 50 km walking . With a height of 1.84 m, his competition weight was 71 kg.
Life
Abdon Pamich is one of the most successful walkers with five medals at the Olympic Games and European Championships. His international career lasted from 1954 to 1971. His best performance from 1960 stands at 4:03:02 h and was a world record at the time.
