  The men's 100-meter run at the 1958 European Athletics Championships was held on August 19 and 20, 1958 in the Stockholm Olympic Stadium.
In this competition there was a double victory for the German sprinters. Armin Hary was European champion ahead of Manfred Germar . Bronze went to the Briton Peter Radford .

Officially, the hand-stopped value of 10.4 s entered the list of results for the winner Armin Hary. With this, Hary set the European championship record from 1938 held by Italian Orazio Mariani and Dutchman Wil van Beveren , as did the second and third placed Manfred Germar and Peter Radford. 
Hary's winning time from the final, electronically stopped with 10.35 s, is unofficial as a new championship record.
