The men's 100-meter race at the 1962 European Athletics Championships was held on September 12 and 13, 1962 in Belgrade's Partizan Stadium .

In this competition there was a French double victory. Claude Piquemal became European champion . He won ahead of Jocelyn Delecour . Bronze went to the German runner Peter Gamper .
