Andrzej Zieliński
Andrzej Franciszek Zieliński (born August 20, 1936 in Warsaw ) is a former Polish sprinter .
At the European Athletics Championships in Belgrade in 1962 , he won the silver medal behind the team of the Federal Republic of Germany in the 4 x 100 meter relay together with Jerzy Juskowiak , Zbigniew Syka and Marian Foik .
He celebrated the greatest success of his career two years later at the 1964 Olympic Games in Tokyo. The Polish relay team won the silver medal behind the United States' team and in front of the French relay in the line-up of Andrzej Zieliński, Wiesław Maniak , Marian Foik and Marian Dudziak . Zieliński also competed in the 200-meter run in Tokyo , but was eliminated in the quarter-finals.
Andrzej Zieliński was twice Polish champion in the 100-meter run (1959, 1962) and once in the 200-meter run (1962). He is 1.73 m tall and had a competition weight of 69 kg.
