The men's 3000-meter obstacle course at the European Athletics Championships in 1962 was held on September 14 and 16, 1962 in Belgrade's Partizan Stadium .

The Belgian Olympic champion in 1960 Gaston Roelants became European champion . He won from the Romanian Zoltan Vamoş . Bronze went to the Soviet Olympic runner-up in 1960 Nikolai Sokolow .
