The men's 100-meter run at the 1982 European Athletics Championships was held on September 6th and 7th, 1982 in the Olympic Stadium in Athens .

GDR sprinter Frank Emmelmann became European champion . He won ahead of the Italian Pierfrancesco Pavoni . Bronze went to the Pole Marian Voronin .
