The men's 20 km at the 1982 European Athletics Championships was held on September 7, 1982 in the streets of Athens .
In this competition there were two medals, silver and bronze, for the walkers from Czechoslovakia. European champion was the Spaniard José Marín , who won silver in the 50 km walk three days later . Second place went to Jozef Pribilinec . Bronze went to Pavol Blažek .
