The men's 20 km walk at the 2014 European Athletics Championships was held on August 13, 2014 in the streets of Zurich . European champion was the 2013 Spanish vice world champion Miguel Ángel López . He won before the Russian Denis Strelkow . Bronze went to the Ukrainian Ruslan Dmytrenko .

doping

On March 22nd, 2019 it turned out that this discipline was affected by a doping case:

The original second-placed Alexandr Ivanov from Russia had to surrender his silver medal again after deviations in his blood had been detected according to the Russian Athletics Association. All of his results between July 2012 and August 2015 have been canceled, including his 2013 World Cup title . It was also banned for three years retrospectively from May 2, 2017.
