The discus throw of women in the 2014 European Athletics Championships was on 15 and 16 August 2014 in the Letzigrund Stadium in Zurich held.

The European champion was the reigning world and Olympic champion of 2012 Sandra Perković from Croatia , who won her third European Championship title here in a row. She won ahead of the 2013 French vice world champion Mélina Robert-Michon . Bronze went to the German Shanice Craft .

qualification

22 participants competed in two groups for the qualification round. The qualification distance for the direct entry into the final was 57.50 m. Eight athletes exceeded this mark (highlighted in light blue). The final field was filled with the four next-placed athletes to twelve throwers (highlighted in light green). So finally 53.82 m was enough for the final.
