The women's discus throw at the 1950 European Athletics Championships was held on August 25, 1950 in the Heysel Stadium in the Belgian capital, Brussels .
In this discipline there was a double victory for the Soviet throwers. The European champion was defending champion Nina Dumbadze . Silver went to Rimma Schumskaja. Third place went to the Italian Edera Cordiale .
