The men's 800-meter run at the 1950 European Athletics Championships was held on 23 and 26 August 1950 in the Heysel Stadium in the Belgian capital, Brussels .
In this competition there were two medals for Great Britain with gold and bronze. European champion was John Parlett . He won ahead of the Frenchman Marcel Hansenne . Bronze went to Roger Bannister .
