The men's 800-meter run at the 1990 European Athletics Championships was held from August 27 to 29, 1990 in the Poljud Stadium in Split .

The British runners recorded a double victory in this competition. It won the Vice European Champion from 1986 Tom McKean . Second place went to David Sharpe . Bronze went to Piotr Piekarski from Poland .
