The women's marathon at the 1990 European Athletics Championships took place on August 27, 1990 in Split , Yugoslavia .

The Portuguese Rosa Mota won the race in 2:31:27 h. In second place came Valentina Egorova from the Soviet Union. The French Maria Rebelo won the bronze medal.
