The women's 100 meter hurdles at the 1990 European Athletics Championships was held on August 29 and 30, 1990 in the Poljud stadium in Split .

The European champion was the French Monique Éwanjé-Épée . She won before the vice world champion in 1987 Gloria Siebert from the GDR. Bronze went to the Soviet hurdler Lidija Jurkowa .

Preliminary round

The preliminary round was carried out in three runs. The first three athletes per run - highlighted in light blue - as well as the seven fastest runners - highlighted in light green - qualified for the semi-finals. Of the twenty hurdles that competed, only four were eliminated, two in each of the two and three heats. All athletes from the first run made it to the next round.
