The women's 100-meter hurdles at the 1998 European Athletics Championships was held on August 23, 1998 in the Népstadion in the Hungarian capital, Budapest .
The Bulgarian defending champion and vice world champion in 1997, Svetla Dimitrova , became European champion . She won Brigita Bukovec before the Slovenian Olympic runner-up in 1996 . Bronze went to the Russian Irina Korotja .
