The women's 100-meter run at the 1998 European Athletics Championships was held on August 18 and 19, 1998 in the Népstadion in the Hungarian capital, Budapest .

The European champion was Christine Arron from France . In the final she set a new European record with 10.73 seconds. Second place took the Russian defending champion and World Championship -Third of 1995 Irina Priwalowa that on the title over two days 200 meters gained. Bronze went to the Greek Ekateríni Thánou .
