The 100-meter run for women at the 1990 European Athletics Championships was held on August 27 and 28, 1990 in the Poljud Stadium in Split .

In this competition all three medals went to the sprinters of the GDR. Katrin Krabbe became European champion . She won ahead of Silke Möller , who had become world champion in 1987 under her previous name Silke Gladisch . Kerstin Behrendt won the bronze medal.
