The heptathlon for women in the 1990 European Athletics Championships was on 30 and 31 August 1990 at the Poljud Stadium in Split discharged.

In this competition, the heptathletes from the GDR won two medals, silver and bronze. The German Sabine Braun became European champion . Heike Tischler took second place . Bronze went to Peggy Beer .

The seven disciplines of the heptathlon took place over two days.
Day 1 - August 29: 100-meter hurdles , high jump , shot put , 200-meter run
Day 2 - August 30: long jump , javelin , 800-meter run

The rating was based on the 1985 point table, which is still valid today.

Liliana Nastase stepped to the last discipline, the 800-meter run , no longer
