Manuela Marxer (born August 5, 1965 ) from Schaanwald is a former Liechtenstein athlete who took part in the Olympic Games four times. For years she was the only athlete from Liechtenstein who could keep up with international events.

Manuela Marxer made her international debut at the 1984 Olympic Games in Los Angeles, when she reached 20th place in the heptathlon with 4913 points. Four years later at the Olympic Games in 1988 , she started in the 100-meter hurdles and retired with 14.38 seconds in the lead. In 1990 she finished 13th in the heptathlon at the European Championships in Split with 5837 points. At the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, ​​Marxer competed again in the heptathlon and placed 24th with 5749 points. After setting the Liechtenstein record, which is still valid today, in 1994 at the Mösle all- around meeting in Götzis with 6093 points, she was able to join the European Championships in Helsinki in 1994 also reached twelfth place, where they came close to their record with 6045 points. In 1996 in Atlanta Manuela Marxer started her fourth Olympic Games , but gave up after the first day of heptathlon. Marxer also competed several times at World Athletics Championships, but could not finish a heptathlon there.

She set national records not only in the heptathlon; on December 31, 2006, she also held the national records in the 100-meter run (11.84 s), in the 100-meter hurdles (13.38 s), long jump (6.13 m) and in the shot put (13.38 s) 53 m).

As a member of the Gymnastics Club Länggasse Bern , Marxer was eligible to compete in the Swiss Athletics Championships. In the heptathlon she won a total of six titles: 1990-1994 and 1996. In addition, she won in 1992 in the 100-meter hurdles and in 1993 in the long jump. During her sporting career from 1990 to 1994 she was voted Sportswoman of the Year in Liechtenstein four times in a row .

Manuela Marxer was 1.74 m tall and had a competition weight of 62 kg. Today Manuela Marxer-Lippuner lives with her husband and daughter in Gossau ZH ( Switzerland ).
