The men's 400-meter hurdles at the 1990 European Athletics Championships was held from August 27 to 29, 1990 in the Poljud stadium in Split .
In this competition, two medals, silver and bronze, went to the Swedish hurdlers. The European champion was the Briton Kriss Akabusi . He won Sven Nylander before third in the European Championship in 1986 . Third place went to Niklas Wallenlind .
