The men's 400-meter hurdles at the 1946 European Athletics Championships was held on August 22 and 24, 1946 in the Bislett Stadium in the Norwegian capital, Oslo .

With silver and bronze there were two medals for Sweden. European champion was the Finn Bertel Storskrubb , whose first name is also mentioned as Bertil in numerous publications . Second place went to Sixten Larsson . Bronze went to Rune Larsson .
