The men's 400-meter hurdles at the European Athletics Championships in 1934 was held on September 8 and 9, 1934 in the Turin Stadio Benito Mussolini .

European champion was the German Hans Scheele , who won ahead of the Finn Akilles Järvinen . Bronze went to the Greek Christos Mantikas .

Since only seven participants started in this competition, the first three runners from the two preliminary runs - highlighted in light blue - qualified directly for the finals. A single runner was eliminated, the three athletes of the second heat only had to cross the finish line to be in the final.
