Luigi Facelli
Luigi Facelli (born May 10, 1898 in Acqui Terme , † May 4, 1991 in Milan ) was an Italian hurdler and sprinter .
At the Olympic Games in Paris in 1924, he was sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay . He reached the semifinals over 400 m hurdles and the quarter-finals over 400 m . In 1928 in Amsterdam he was sixth in the 400 m hurdles and was eliminated in the 4 x 400 meter relay in the preliminary run. In 1932 in Los Angeles, he finished fifth over 400 m hurdles and sixth in the 4 x 400 meter relay .
At the European Athletics Championships in Turin in 1934 , he did not reach the finish line over 400 m hurdles in the final. At the 1936 Olympic Games in Berlin, he did not get past the first round in the same discipline.
He was Italian champion over 400 m hurdles eleven times (1924-1931, 1935, 1936, 1938) and twice over 400 m (1926, 1930), 110 m hurdles (1930, 1931) and in the triple jump (1923, 1929). In a duel with the 1928 Olympic champion David Burghley , he was three times English champion over 440 yard hurdles (1929, 1931, 1933).
