Akilles "Aki" Eero Johannes Järvinen (born September 19, 1905 in Jyväskylä , † March 7, 1943 in Tampere ) was a Finnish athlete who was successful in the decathlon and over 400 meter hurdles in the late 1920s and in the first half of the 1930s was. He won three silver medals.

He was the son of discus throwing Olympic champion Verner Järvinen and the older brother of spear throwing Olympic champion Matti Järvinen . Akilles and Matti Järvinen are the only brothers in the history of athletics who simultaneously (1930–1932) held a world record: Akilles in the decathlon, Matti in the javelin . Akilles would have become Olympic champion like his brother - if the rating introduced in 1950 had already applied in 1928. According to this evaluation, Akilles Järvinen would have had 150 points in 1928 and 120 points in 1932 over Paavo Yrjölä and Jim Bausch respectively .

Akilles Järvinen was only 37 years old. He was killed in the crash of a PY-37 that was on a training flight with him as co-pilot.
