Wolrad Eberle
Wolrad Eberle (born May 4, 1908 in Freiburg im Breisgau , † May 13, 1949 in Cologne ) was a German athlete .
Eberle was third in the decathlon at the Olympic Games in Los Angeles in 1932 , winning the first medal in this discipline for Germany. His individual performances in this competition, in which he achieved a total of 8030 points: 11.4 s ( 100-meter run ), 6.77 m ( long jump ), 13.22 m ( shot put ), 1.65 m ( high jump ), 50.8 s ( 400-meter run ), 16.7 s ( 110-meter hurdles ), 41.34 m ( discus throw ), 3.50 m ( pole vault ), 57.49 m ( javelin throw ), 4: 34.4 min ( 1500 meter run ).
In 1932 he was also German champion in the decathlon, in 1933 and 1934 runner-up.
Wolrad Eberle was a member of the Berlin Sport Club and was 1.79 m tall and weighed 77 kg.
