Süderschwei is a district of Schwei in the municipality of Stadland in Lower Saxony . Süderschwei is located south of the village and consists of two farmers .

history

Süderschwei is a row settlement on the edge of the moor . The plots are long and striped. The first school can be verified in 1721. A two-class school existed until 1965. During the Second World War , a Freya radar was stationed in southern Switzerland , and the system was part of the air defense of the war port in Wilhelmshaven . The closest flak battery was the Schweiburg flak battery .

Administrative history

Until 1811, Süderschwei was part of the Vogtei Schwei . Later it belonged to the independent municipality of Schwei, from 1933 to 1948 it was part of the municipality of Rodenkirchen . Since 1974 it belongs to the municipality of Stadland.
