Sürwürden is a district ( peasantry ) of Rodenkirchen and thus part of the municipality of Stadland .

history
Sürwürden is a Wurtendorf , so it consists of several Wurten that have grown together over time, just like the neighboring village of Alse . Comparable settlements, which are located on the banks of the Weser like Sürwürden , were already settled as flat settlements during the Roman Empire .
In the man count register of the Vogtei Rodenkirchen, Sürwürden appears in 1581 with 26 armed farms. In 1907 a station building for the Hude - Blexen line was built. The overland route from Sürwürden to Schmalenfleth was expanded into a road in 1910/1911 .
