Tegelland is a district ( peasantry ) of Rodenkirchen , in the municipality of Stadland in the Wesermarsch district .

history

Tegelland initially had the name "Neubaugelände Ost", the first settlers moved there in 1959 as part of the "barracks clearance program" to meet the need for urgently needed living space. On August 18, 1962, the name was changed to Tegelland in the Nordwestzeitung. In 1963, the area appeared in the locality directory, stating it was a “new place to live”. There are uncertain traditions that claim in Tegel country have a clay mining area for a brick found . At least the brickworks is documented by the Prussian land survey of 1900, for the location in the area between Lange Strasse, Hermann-Lons-Weg, Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse and Berliner Platz.
